Plot
Following an untimely and embarrassing death, Kazuma SatÅ, a Japanese adolescent shut-in NEET, meets a goddess named Aqua, who offers to reincarnate him with MMORPG elements in a parallel world, where he can go on adventures and fight monsters. Despite being offered a superpowered item or the ability to use it in this new world, Kazuma, after some provocation, chooses Aqua herself to accompany him to Axel 's place, quickly finding her absent-mindedness less than helpful. With Aqua unable to return to the afterlife until the Devil King is defeated, the two form a group and recruit two additional members; an explosion-obsessed sorcerer named Megumin and a masochistic crusader called Darkness. Because of the fragmented ability of the party, Kazuma quickly gives up on the idea of defeating the Devil King and tries to live a comfortable lifestyle, only to find the circumstances of his everyday life that push him and his party to meet and combat the generals of the Devil King
